2003.
A year that will stick out in my mind for the rest of my life.
It's the year I had to grow up, for there was no other choice left.
The year of overwhelming emotions the likes of which I had never experienced before.
The year that saw the death of one of the two people I love most.
The year that saw me rekindle old friendships and make new friends, after not having had any irl for more than 3 years.
The year I stopped depending on people on the other side of the world to be my lifeline.
The year of crushes. The year of heartbreak. The year of incredible stupidities and pains. And regrets. But also of many joys. Of new experiences.
Most of all, 2003 is the year that saw the old me disappear, and the new me emerge.
Yes, this is a fucking dramatic entry. But that's ok. This was a fucking dramatic year.
It will stick out in my mind for the rest of my life. And I'm glad it's over.
I wish everyone a happy new year and the best for 2004.
For me 2004 is going to be like sailing into a big unknown.
